    This role is part of a tight, cross-functional group that brings together R&D, regulatory affairs and product management to support Belchim Canada’s growing portfolio of crop protection and biological products. The team’s work is grounded in science, field performance and practical solutions for Canadian agriculture.

    R&D and regulatory colleagues collaborate closely with product managers to plan and oversee field trials, generate the technical data needed for Canadian registrations and translate performance results into clear commercial direction. The group works with biologicals, biostimulants and traditional crop protection tools, ensuring they fit the unique production conditions across Canada.

    Within this environment, the R&D, regulatory and product management group is highly connected and collaborative. Team members share ideas freely, problem-solve together and play a direct role in shaping the direction of new products and technologies.     How you’ll make impact

    You will play a key role in connecting science, strategy and on-the-ground results. You will work closely with colleagues across marketing, sales and R&D to design and deliver high-quality demonstration trials that showcase product performance in real-world conditions. You will turn complex trial outcomes into practical training tools and clear communication materials that help our teams speak confidently about product benefits.

    You will strengthen both marketing and sales by providing ongoing technical guidance and product expertise, ensuring they have the knowledge they need to support customers effectively. Your early focus will be horticultural crops across Eastern Canada and British Columbia, with opportunities to contribute to prairie field support as needed. Through this work, you will help drive informed decision-making, better customer engagement and stronger commercial results.

     

    About your job:

    • Play a central role in showing the value of Belchim’s biological and biostimulant products through real-world demonstration trials across Canada.

    • Help translate trial outcomes into practical insights that support confident decision-making for growers, retailers and internal teams.

    • Work closely with marketing, sales and R&D partners, contributing to how new products are positioned and introduced to the market.

    • Review and summarize published literature and research trial data to support R&D, sales and marketing strategies.

    • Spend meaningful time in the field and greenhouse assessing product performance and capturing results through data, photos, video and digital content.

    • Support learning and engagement by creating training and communication tools and leading tours of demonstration sites for colleagues, retailers and growers.

    • Represent Belchim Canada at trade shows, grower meetings and industry events as a knowledgeable technical ambassador.

    • Advance regenerative and sustainable agriculture by highlighting how our biorational and biostimulant products strengthen modern production systems.

    • Build strong relationships with researchers, retailers and growers to stay current on emerging issues, trends and opportunities.

    • Contribute to a collaborative, supportive team culture with the autonomy to bring forward ideas and shape how technical knowledge is shared.

    • Make a clear impact on both commercial performance and the customer experience by showcasing product value in real production environments.

    • Approximately 5 to 10 percent travel, with additional local travel required during the field demonstration season.

     

    About you:

    • Hold a minimum Bachelor of Science in agriculture, plant science, biology or a related discipline.

    • Bring a minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience in field research, crop production, technical support, sales or another agriculture-focused environment. Strong early-career candidates with a proven ability to learn quickly are welcome to apply.

    • Have a solid technical foundation and genuine curiosity about biologicals, biostimulants and emerging production practices.

    • Communicate clearly and comfortably, able to turn complex or technical information into practical guidance for growers and colleagues.

    As a hybrid role, the Eastern Sales Manager, reporting to the General Manager, is responsible for leading the Eastern Sales Team located in Ontario, Quebec, and the Maritimes. Your focus is to help grow our business. 

     

    This role also includes direct management of a sales territory focused on broad acre and horticulture markets within Ontario. In addition to the Technical Sales Representatives, your team includes the General Manager, Western Sales Manager, Marketing Manager, Key Account Manager and Product Managers. In this role, you will have broad exposure to the organization.

     

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Lead the Eastern Sales Team.

    • Collaborate with the General Manager, Marketing Manager, Product Managers, Sales Team and Key Account Manager to build strategic sales plans for the assigned region and territories.

    • Work with the team to design retail focused growth strategies, leveraging our diverse portfolio - including synthetic chemistry, biologicals and biorationals.

    • Support the technical sales representatives in developing and executing their territory sales plans aligned with territory and corporate objectives.

    • Build and maintain strong business relationships with key retailers and distribution partners to drive sustained sales growth.

    • Deliver in-field sales coaching and training during ride-alongs to enhance team performance.

    • Contribute and make recommendations to the development of programs and marketing.

    • Conduct retail sales calls, on-farm visits, and product demonstrations to educate customers on our crop protection products and solutions.

    • Provide technical guidance and practical solutions to customers to ensure effective product use in key crops such as wheat, potatoes, apples, corn, and beans.

    • Analyze market trends, monitor and gather competitive activity, and identify opportunities for business development.

    • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and grower meetings to expand and strengthen market presence and enhance customer engagement.

    • Travel regularly within the region, with occasionally national travel for meetings, conferences, and customer engagements. Expected travel is approximately 20% – 30

    • Complete other tasks or duties as assigned to support the continued success of the company.

       

    Key Requirements and Qualifications

    Experience and Industry Knowledge

    • 7+ years of sales experience in agriculture, crop protection, or related industries, with a strong understanding of broad acre and horticultural markets in Canada.

    • Proven experience in territory management and team leadership.

    • Experience with retail-focused strategies and working with distribution networks and key account relationships.

    Leadership and Team Management

    • Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop a sales team.

    • Strong organizational and cross-functional collaboration skills

    Sales and Business Development Skills

    • Track record of driving sales growth and achieving performance targets.

    • Skilled in building and maintaining relationships with key retail and distribution partners.

    • Ability to identify market trends, assess competitive activity, and provide market intelligence.

    Technical and Communication Skills

    • Excellent presentation, communication, and negotiation skills.

    • Ability to provide technical product support and recommendations for growers and retailers.

    Travel and Flexibility

    • Willingness to travel up to 30%, primarily within Ontario, Quebec, and the Maritimes.

    • Valid driver's license with access to a vehicle.

       

    Education

    • Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Business, or related field preferred.

    • Additional certifications in sales leadership or agronomy are considered assets.

  • In the role of Technical Sales Representative, you will be the source of information for our customers. Report directly to the National Sales Manager you will develop and execute sales plans primarily for the Northern/Central Saskatchewan territory.

    Our ideal candidate will have a strong background primarily in Saskatchewan Agriculture. This is a technical sales role that will require excellent interpersonal skills to build and maintain current relationships with customers to achieve the sales plan goal.

    Responsibilities Include:

    • Work closely with the Key Account Manager to build a sales strategy for the territory.

    • Establish, develop, maintain and foster business relationships with existing and prospective customers in the territory to expand the business opportunities for the company’s products.

    • Maintain customer contact, with a plan for existing and prospective customers highlighting needs, challenges, competitive activities and potential for new growth opportunities. Facilitate the resolution of customer enquiries as required.

    • Make planned sales calls and presentations to existing and prospective customers, to create product awareness, stimulate demand, advance sales targets, provide technical and marketing information, and provide product stewardship.

    • Assist the National Sales Manager, Accounts Manager, and Product Managers with in-depth territory information for product positioning and local market knowledge.

    • Keep Customer Relationship Management (CRM) applications current.

    • Interact with key industry people to provide technical training, product support and gain knowledge concerning market opportunities and challenges.

    • Assist with product development as required.

    • Participate in territory events and functions such as trade shows.

    • Local and some national traveling for meetings, conferences and meetings with clients.

     

    Qualifications:

    • 3 - 5 years’ related sales experience.

    • Excellent communication abilities inside and outside of the organization.

    • Ability to manage delicate situations with diplomacy and professionalism.

    • Ability to think outside the box and bring innovation to problem-solving.

    • Committed to maintaining excellent customer service.

    • Valid driver’s license with reliable vehicle

    • Advanced computer skills in MS Office, virtual meeting platforms and presentations.
