SCORPIO INSECTICIDE

The active ingredient spinosad in Scorpio is a naturally derived insecticide produced through the fermentation of the soil bacterium Saccharopolyspora spinosa. In Scorpio® Ant and Insect Bait, spinosad is formulated into a highly compressed wheat pellet bait that is applied directly to the soil, eliminating the need for mixing or spraying. Once consumed or contacted by the target pest, spinosad affects the insect nervous system, causing uncontrolled muscle activity, paralysis, and ultimately death. This unique mode of action provides effective control of pests such as ants, black cutworms, and suppression of spotted wing drosophila, while also helping reduce wireworm, onion maggot, cabbage maggot, and earwig damage.
