MIGIWA 20SC FUNGICIDE

Ipflufenoquin, powered by Kinoprol technology is the active ingredient in Migiwa® 20 SC, a new FRAC Group 52 fungicide that provides protection against key pome fruit diseases, including apple scab and powdery mildew. As the first Group 52 fungicide available in Canada, Migiwa introduces a completely new mode of action with no known cross-resistance to existing fungicide groups. It works by targeting the primary fungal hypha as it enters plant tissue, inhibiting the production of DNA and RNA building blocks needed for fungal growth and spore formation. Migiwa delivers both preventative and systemic/translaminar activity, protecting developing foliage and fruit from infection.

For Canadian apple and pear producers, Migiwa offers several important benefits. Its unique mode of action makes it an excellent resistance-management tool, while its systemic and translaminar movement provides reliable disease protection during critical early-season infection periods. Migiwa features a low use rate, a short 7-day pre-harvest interval, and becomes rainfast within two hours of application, providing confidence even under challenging weather conditions.
