CHIKARA™ HERBICIDE
CHIKARA™ is a broad spectrum, systemic and residual herbicide. The active ingredient, Flazasulfuron, will provide both post-emergence and pre-emergence (soil residual) control of key annual and perennial weeds. When applied according to label recommendations, Chikara herbicide will control fescue, clovers, chickweed, dandelion, foxtail, sowthistles, nutsedge, groundsel, common mallow, ryegrass and more. (refer to label).
CHIKARA™ is active in low concentrations and stays in the upper surfaces of the soil layer. It does not inhibit seed germination but is absorbed by the roots of young plants. In many cases, weeds do not emerge from the soil and the few that do, exhibit yellowing of the leaves and rapidly die.

Features & Benefits
Low application rates
CHIKARA™ Herbicide contains 250g of flazasulfuron per kilogram which allows for a low application rate of 150g to 200g per hectare.
Wide application window
CHIKARA™ herbicide can be applied at any time of the year in grapes. Best results are achieved with spring applications. For established weeds a tank mix partner such as glyphosate is recommended to broaden the spectrum of control.
Season long control
Following a spring application, CHIKARA™ herbicide provides control for 8 – 12 weeks, in most cases eliminating the need for an additional late season herbicide application. Duration of control is depen- dant on soil type, soil moisture, temperature and rainfall.
